Oi! Tonbo Anime Confirms April 2024 Release Along With More Details

Prepare to follow the story of Kazuyoshi Igarashi, a former pro golfer who finds himself in Kagoshima Prefecture’s Tokara Islands. Disqualified but not defeated, Kazuyoshi encounters Tonbo, a talented and naive girl with a passion for golf. As the narrative unfolds, viewers will witness a heartwarming tale, interwoven with a touch of sadness, exploring Tonbo’s journey to becoming a skilled golf player.

OLM Studios, under the direction of Jin Gu Oh, will bring the manga’s events to life. Mitsuoka Hirota supervises the scripts, Akira Takeuchi takes on character design, and Naoto Kondo adds a splash of color to the animation. The musical genius Nobuko Toda, guided by Masafumi Mima’s sound direction, will compose the series‘ music, while Keita Hattori and SMDE will handle 3D and CG animation, respectively.

Sacre e Sole, a renowned music duo, will take center stage with the opening theme „Habatake“ (Spread Your Wings), while Tokyo Groove Jyoshi will close each episode with the ending theme „Let’s Swing.“ The perfect soundtrack to accompany the golfing journey that awaits viewers.
