KENGAN ASHURA: SEASON 2 PART 2 SET TO PREMIERE IN 2024

On Thursday, September 20, 2023, an announcement was made regarding Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2, which is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2024. Alongside this announcement, a trailer for the second season was released, and the first part of the season is set to debut on the platform on Thursday, September 21.

Although Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 is still some time away, it is likely that it will debut early in the year rather than later. Netflix typically maintains a gap of three to six months between two cours of a single anime season, and the September release date for the first part supports this expectation.

In any case, fans will need to complete the first part of the series‘ second season before looking forward to Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2. While some key details about the second season, such as opening themes, cast, and staff, have been revealed, it remains uncertain whether any of these will change as the second part approaches in 2024.

Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2 Release Date Announced by Netflix

As previously mentioned, the anticipated release window for Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 in 2024 is likely to be narrowed down to an early 2024 launch. This aligns with the typical pattern observed in Netflix’s popular anime series, such as Record of Ragnarok and Baki, which feature a similar gap between cours. While it’s possible that this assumption could be disproven, it stands as the most reasonable expectation based on the currently available information.

This expectation gains further credibility due to the second season’s focus on the finals of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament and the culmination of the original storyline. Given this context, delaying the final episodes of the series beyond the initial release date of the first cour wouldn’t appear to be a logical decision for Netflix.

The metal band SiM is gearing up to perform the new opening theme song for the series, titled „RED.“ This title got an early screening at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo on Sunday, September 10, 2023. The series initially made its global debut on Netflix in July 2019, and the second part of its first season was released on the platform in October of the same year.

The series had its worldwide premiere at the Anime Expo in July 2018 and secured an anime adaptation following a fan voting contest in 2015.

Originally conceived as a manga by author Yabako Sandrovich and illustrator Daromeon, it made its debut on the Manga ONE app in 2012 and concluded in August 2018. However, a new sequel arc titled „Kengan Omega“ was launched in January 2019.
