An AI’s opinion on Eren’s actions in the Attack on Titan – Final Season

Since the start of Attack on Titan: The Final Season, fans have been left with uncertainties about Eren’s extreme behavior. While Yeagerists argue that his actions were necessary and justifiable, others firmly believe that the protagonist had overstepped ethical boundaries and needed to be stopped.

As AI technology continues to advance, we thought it would be interesting to engage with chatbots like ChatGPT by asking a range of inquiries. In our case, we posed the question of whether Eren’s actions were justified in Attack on Titan – Final Season to ChatGPT, and the AI’s response was quite …… intriguing.

ChatGPT is well aware of the world of AOT

Firstly, We ensured that ChatGPT was up to date on what’s been going on in the world of Attack on Titan.
So, we ensured that it has the correct knowledge about the series and found out the AI really has been watching the anime lately. In all seriousness, here is the reply we got from the chatbot:

"Yes, as an AI language model, I have access to information about the plot of Attack on Titan. Attack on Titan is a popular manga and anime series that takes place in a world where humanity lives within cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the Titans, giant humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason..........."

It further elaborated about how the story follows and the plot deepens and how everything goes to shit.
Furthermore, on asking if the chatbot is aware of what Eren did after gaining the power of the founding titan, it gave us a proper response expressing Eren’s motives and ideology. Here is the response we got from ChatGPT:

"After gaining the power of the Founding Titan, Eren uses his abilities to protect his loved ones and free humanity from oppression. However, his increasing control and ruthlessness lead him to orchestrate a plan to unleash the power of the Titans, destroying all of humanity outside the walls to secure his people's survival."

ChatGPT presents an objective outlook on Eren’s actions in Attack on Titan

Okay, so now that we know that ChatGPT is well aware about the Attack on Titan – Final Season and Eren’s actions, it was time to finally have the AI’s take on the whole Rumbling.
On asking it’s position on Eren’s actions in the final season the chatbot first stated that it has no personal opinions or feelings but it could provide a neutral and objective take on the whole thing. Here is the response we got:

"As an AI language model, I don't have personal opinions or feelings. However, I can provide a neutral and objective perspective on Eren's actions."

This is the neutral perspective it provided further:

"Eren's actions after he gained the power of the Founding Titan are complex and controversial. On one hand, his actions can be seen as a desperate attempt to save his people from the constant threat of the Titans and the oppressive forces that have been controlling their lives. On the other hand, his methods involve inflicting massive harm and destruction upon innocent people outside the walls."

"Many fans and viewers of Attack on Titan have different interpretations of Eren's actions and motives, with some seeing him as a tragic hero who is forced to make difficult choices, while others view him as a misguided and ruthless villain who has lost sight of his humanity."

As you can see, ChatGPT is made to be as unbiased as possible without taking any stances in any situation.
Even if it’s some angry boy hell bent on destroying the entire world to save his friends, it proves to remain neutral.
On one hand there is a point that it is the only way to free the Eldians from the atrocities of the world outside the walls as well as the titans. However, it means sacrificing the whole world to save his bunch.
Good, or bad? Ultimately, it is for the you, the viewers, to decide. As the AI said in it’s conclusive paragraph:

"In the end, the moral ambiguity of Eren's actions is a major theme in Attack on Titan, and the story leaves it up to the viewer to make their own judgments and conclusions about the character and his role in the story."
