DEMON SLAYER SEASON 4: TEASER, RELEASE DATE AND EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR

After the conclusion of the extended 55-minute final episode of Season 3, Demon Slayer wasted no time in revealing the upcoming Season 4 of the series.

A fresh teaser trailer unveiled a formidable squad of five Hashiras, featuring familiar faces like Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Iguro Obanai. This sneak peek strongly hints that the next season will delve into the captivating Hashira Training Arc.

Drawing from the manga, here is a synopsis of what fans can expect in the forthcoming season:

“Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come. The training to become a Hashira—a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps—is intense and demanding. Earning Himejima’s approval seems impossible, but Tanjiro won’t give up! Meanwhile, the demon lord Muzan continues to search for the location of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.”

HERE’S THE OFFICIAL TEASER FOR DEMON SLAYER SEASON 4

Following the broadcast of the 55-minute long Episode 11 of Demon Slayer Season 3 on Sunday, June 18, Ufotable wasted no time and immediately unveiled a teaser trailer for the upcoming arc in the series, the Hashira Training Arc. While it remains uncertain whether Season 4 will solely focus on this arc, the teaser predominantly emphasized its significance.

If Demon Slayer season 4 covers only the Hashira training arc, then it should take as many episodes as the Swordsmith Village arc. This seems likely given that the final arc is the longest in the series and should be animated in two cours if Ufotable wants to do justice to it. The Infinity Castle sub-arc alone would demand an entire season devoted to it.

Tanjiro’s journey towards becoming a Hashira has been evident from the start, especially considering his victories against several Upper Rank demons. It might seem logical to simply grant him the title, but the process doesn’t work that way. Tanjiro must go through demanding training to earn his place as a Hashira, potentially aiming for the Sun Hashira position.

DEMON SLAYER SEASON 4 RELEASE DATE

While an exact release date for the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc, which serves as season 4 of the show, has not been announced, we can make an estimation based on past release dates:

  • Demon Slayer season 1 premiered (in English) in October 2019
  • Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film released in October 2021 (two years later)
  • Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc aired in December 2021 (two months later)
  • Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc aired in April 2023 (almost two and a half years later)

Considering that the Mugen Train can be seen as an introduction to the Entertainment District Arc, the actual gap between seasons would be around 2-2.5 years, possibly slightly less if we account for potential delays due to COVID-related factors during that time.

Based on this timeframe, it is plausible to anticipate the Hashira Training Arc premiering around June 2025 or in the fall, perhaps around November or December 2025. If the production schedule extends further, it could potentially be pushed to early 2026.

Following the Hashira Training Arc, there remains only the Final Battle Arc, where all the plotlines converge. Thus, it is conceivable that Demon Slayer may reach its conclusion around 2027. This timeline allows us to savor the series for a while longer before its ultimate culmination.
